Isaiah Mosteller, of Discovery Expeditions, has traveled to Costa Rica several times in collaboration with the LEAF organization, an Asheville, NC based non-profit with the mission to "Connect Cultures and Create Community through Music and Art."  Though Costa Rica is heavily touristed and modernized in a relatively small country, its spinal mountain range and gushing river valleys create pockets of difficult accessibility, which have allowed some of it's indigenous tribes to sustain themselves in relative isolation.  Such is the case with the small mountainous community of Alto Chirripó of the Cabécar First Nation high up in the Chirripó River valley.  The video below, created by Isaiah, documents his February 2016 journey along with LEAF International's teaching artist and shaman Luis Quetzal Salazar to visit this special place, document their lifestyle, and highlight Luis's work in preserving his own cultural legacy.  Enjoy!
